The universe of Nerko Ink is recognized by its expressive contours, hatching, and plays of shadow. Pencil, ink, felt-tip pen, and watercolor are part of its graphic vocabulary. Tattoo aesthetics nourish the drawing, with marked contrasts and clear silhouettes.

Les lignes de construction peuvent rester visibles ; elles participent à l’élan du dessin. Un plumage, une carapace ou un visage prend du relief par le trait. Selon les illustrations et leurs déclinaisons, le noir et blanc laisse aussi une place à la couleur.

A pelican, a hummingbird, a turtle, a Creole house or a hibiscus evoke the nature and life of the islands. The sea also welcomes pirates and legendary figures. Not all these illustrations aim to depict a landscape: some capture an animal, others invent a meeting or an adventure.

Nerko’s influences range from the Caribbean to Asian and Nordic imaginations. This blend gives the collection its free tone, while giving special place to Les Saintes and Guadeloupe.
