Where a gift is sold, where its materials come from and where it is made are different things. At Atelier Karaïbes, our clothing is made in our workshops in Guadeloupe and Les Saintes. Our madras is woven in France, and we know the origin of each wax-print fabric we select.

We select our T-shirts from textile manufacturers and print them in-store, in Les Saintes and Saint-François (Guadeloupe). They are not sewn in our workshops. Original illustrations, including those from the exclusive Nerko Ink × Atelier Karaïbes collaboration, give our collections their distinctive character.

For these made-to-order T-shirts, we create our own hypoallergenic and solvent-free ink. Integrated inside the fiber, it does not create any thickness and offers impeccable durability through washes. This specific process produces exclusively black illustrations on the T-shirt colour of your choice.

A dress or shirt in madras brings the fabric’s colours into the garment you wear. Look at the fullness, length, and placement of the checks. In store, feeling the fabric and trying it on help you choose more easily than relying on size alone.
