Guadeloupe souvenir décor: arranging a wall of illustrated cards
To bring a touch of Guadeloupe’s ambiance home, a few illustrations can form a small wall composition. Our A6 cards measure 10.5 × 14.8 cm; their charm lies in a small drawing to view up close. Here’s how to frame and arrange them respecting their real sizes, without confusing them with large posters.

Framing a card while respecting its original format
Our cards measure 10.5 × 14.8 cm, A6 format. Before buying a frame, distinguish its outer dimensions from the visible opening: the latter may cover part of the design. A frame fitting A6 or a larger one with a mat cut to the right opening are two options. Also check if the chosen design is vertical or horizontal.
For a wall display, start by laying out your cards and frames flat. This helps you assess spacing and the arrangement of items before attaching anything. Then choose a spot where you can appreciate the details without mistaking a small illustrated card for a large-format poster.
Creating a small set of illustrations
When grouping several cards, choose a simple theme. It could be a subject family, a dominant color or an alternation of characters and natural elements. Not all drawings need to tell exactly the same story.
Lay the cards side by side first. See if one image draws all the attention and whether that’s your goal. Two or three complementary designs can form a clearer set than a large mix. Models and any quantity discounts are indicated in the collection at purchase.
Combine colors without making everything uniform
For a composition inspired by Guadeloupe and the Antilles, select a clear link between the designs—marine themes, birds, or a common color. Not all elements need to match exactly. Two similar images can frame a more contrasting subject. Keep this theme in mind when choosing cards to complete your composition.
View the entire display from where you will see it most often. A detail noticeable at a few centimeters won’t have the same effect from a door or a sofa. If one card draws all attention, consciously choose to make it the focal point or rearrange the order.
Calculate actual space before buying frames
For three vertical A6 cards side by side, the width of the images alone is 31.5 cm. With two 3 cm spaces between them, the total width is 37.5 cm, excluding frames. This calculation helps understand the real scale: three cards don’t make a large poster.
When using frames, base your calculations on their external dimensions. For example, three frames 15 cm wide plus two 3 cm spaces total 51 cm. This is a layout example, not a frame size sold by the workshop. Measure your own set before choosing the spot.
Testing the layout with paper
Cut templates to the outer dimensions of the intended frames, or lay out frames flat if you already have them. Try a line, column, or small group with regular spacing. The wall shape and space available will guide your arrangement.
Before mounting, check that the hanging method suits the support and the actual weight of the frames. Use a method to attach cards that allows removal without adhesive on the artwork. Use A6 dimensions as a reference and consult available models if you want to complete the display.
