Creating a T-shirt collection for your restaurant
Some guests come for the food; others also return for the room, the welcome and the atmosphere. A restaurant T-shirt collection can tell that wider story. It needs a different approach from staff clothing: customers should want to wear it elsewhere. Here are the decisions to make for your restaurant in France, the Caribbean or Europe.

Distinguish staff uniform from customer merchandise
Staff clothing needs to suit the role and identify your team. Customers are more likely to choose by fit, design and their memory of the place. Create separate assortments if you are planning both. A job title or a large service-related print may not belong on a collection sold to regular guests.
Find a design that tells your restaurant’s story
Your frontage, an object in the dining room, a signature recipe or a neighbourhood detail can provide a starting point. Choose something guests really associate with your restaurant. Original illustration can express an atmosphere beyond the logo. Prepare a few references with notes and the exact wording to keep; printing a whole menu makes it difficult to read and update.
Fit the collection into the service routine
One displayed garment near the entrance and clear information may be enough to start a conversation. Decide where sizes are stored, who hands over purchases and how payment is taken. Keep the process simple during busy service. If guests discover the range at their table, tell them where to view it rather than passing stock around between dishes.
Build a range with room to continue
An ongoing range based on your restaurant’s identity is different from a series for an anniversary or opening. For a dated edition, consider what will happen to remaining stock. For a continuing range, track requests by size and design and keep a clear reference for each variation. This makes replenishment easier to specify without describing the whole project again.
Plan your collection with Atelier Karaïbes
Tell us about your restaurant, location and guests, and share a few images of its atmosphere. Explain whether the T-shirts are for staff, retail or both, with planned quantities and timing. We discuss collections in mainland France, the Caribbean and elsewhere in Europe, including artwork, labels and bags. Terms, production and transport are set out in the proposal.
A workshop and logistics in mainland France
For your projects in France and across Europe, we have a dedicated workshop and stock storage facilities in mainland France. Your collections are prepared there and dispatched from mainland France.
